Visualizing building physics processes and demonstrating materials and methods are important concerns of the Fraunhofer Center for Conservation and Energy Performance of Historic Buildings Benediktbeuern. Fixed and changing exhibitions as well as demonstrations directly on the building itself contribute to this. Even after completion of the comprehensive renovation of the Alte Schäfflerei, further research and restoration projects will continue to be implemented. Visitors to the “Transparent Building Site” are invited on various occasions, such as on Open Monument Day, to find out more about the work carried out at the Fraunhofer Center Benediktbeuern.
