Projects and objectives

 

Together with partners from trade and the construction industry, the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP explores the use of proven and innovative building materials and technologies for renovating old buildings in terms of energy efficiency and heritage conservation at the Alte Schäfflerei as well as at the institute's field test site. IBP also demonstrates methods and solutions for preserving historical monuments in the building's exhibition area. The aim is to present existing materials, technologies and new developments in an unbiased way.
