Knowledge transfer

Among other things, with its series of seminars titled “Building Physics in Heritage Conservation”, the Fraunhofer Center Benediktbeuern offers specialist planners, craftsmen, conservationists, decision-makers, real estate owners and interested parties the opportunity to obtain information, advice and further training on energy-saving measures for old buildings and on heritage conservation techniques.

The transfer of knowledge between heritage conservation, building practice, research and industry is an important aspect of the center, as is the demonstration of how innovative and tried-and-tested materials function.

Key topics relating to building physics, energy efficiency and heritage conservation measures for old buildings and historical monuments are addressed from various perspectives.

Held in cooperation with the Ingenieurekammer Bayern e.V. since 2020, the seminar series is recognized as an advanced training course by the WTA Wissenschaftlich-Technische Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Bauwerkserhaltung und Denkmalpflege GmbH, the Bayerische Ingenieurekammer-Bau and the Architektenkammer Baden-Württemberg.
